This interactive workshop discusses the effect of implicit bias, cultural competence, and the exclusionary practices that negatively impact the success of African American male students. Despite long-standing efforts to address and eliminate disproportionality in education, inequalities remain across the state, nation, and the world for African American males with and without IEPs.Participants will leave this interactive workshop with strategies they can use immediately to identify and remove barriers to inclusion to promote the development and success of African American male students.
