"Handwriting is a fundamental skill that plays a crucial role in a student's
overall academic success. However, in recent years, there has been a decline in the emphasis on comprehensive handwriting instruction in schools, leading to not only inadequate handwriting skills among students, but also an adverse impact on reading achievement. This presentation aims to address the importance of comprehensive
handwriting instruction and provide practical strategies for educators to
enhance their students' handwriting proficiency. Drawing on current
research and best practices, the presentation will explore the cognitive
and developmental benefits of proficient handwriting and its positive
impact on academic achievement."
