About me
Dr. Rodriguez-Kufner has been in the area of education for the past 27 years in various capacities. She has taught at the elementary, 6-8 grade science and 9th grade biology, within the area of administration she has served at the elementary and district levels, she has been a Lego League coach, a BSA merit badge counselor, and taught adults at the undergraduate and graduate as well as provided professional development at conferences and events. Within her community, she has served organizations that were education focused, such as Kiwanis, Rotary, BSA, First Lego League and more. Her personal interests include science through the arts from a S.T.E.A.M perspective and she is an avid photographer, researcher, and philanthropist in the area of the environment and social change. Her life goal is to mentor future leaders that add to the stewardship of the environment, the arts, and helping people. She currently works for a non-profit organization, University Center, that helps individuals move towards their educational attainment at the undergraduate and graduate levels. More specifically, she is the program director for the FSCS grant that was awarded through the US Department of Education December of 2023 and works with the districts of North Chicago and Diamond Lake to enrich the lives of students through dynamic communities.
