Teaching Through Problem Solving (TTP) is the Japanese model for teaching mathematics which focuses on developing student agency and ownership through a cycle of: 1) grappling with a problem individually, 2) looking for patterns in other student solutions with the whole class, and 3) developing new (or extending) understanding of key math concepts. This workshop will provide both an overview and in depth key strategies for TTP use in your classroom tomorrow.
